Police are investigating a fatal collision last night on Highway 103.
A pickup truck was travelling inbound between Exits 4 and 3 around 5:15 p.m. when the driver, a 54-year-old man from Upper Tantallon, pulled over.
He exited his vehicle to check on cargo in the back of the truck.
The man and the truck were both struck by an oncoming vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the truck was not hurt.
The driver and the passenger in the other vehicle, a small car, were also unhurt.
The highway was closed for several hours while an RCMP traffic analyst conducted an assessment.
