A YouTube video of a Lunenburg County man being tased during an arrest has sparked an investigation into police conduct.
The Serious Incident Response Team usually investigates when someone is hurt during the course of an arrest.
However, Ron MacDonald, Director of SiRT says he felt this investigation would serve the public interest.
He says that’s part of the reason SiRT was created
“To step into these kind of cases and offer the public an objective view of what happened,” he says.
MacDonald says the video will provide insight.
But, he says it’s important to gather all the evidence before they reach any conclusions.
