Volunteers continue their work to connect a popular trail system in Lunenburg County.
The LaHave River Trail Association wants to connect a 22 kilometre section of the old railway bed between Bridgewater and New Germany.
However, several sections of the trail cross over private land.
Chair Helen Fern says they are working with land owners.
“We have always known it would be difficult, because some land owners find it not easy to figure out whether they really want a trail to go through their property and that’s certainly well respected.”
It would take roughly $1.1 million to fully develope the multi-use trail.
The association will hold their AGM next Wednesday (March 18) – they plan to update plans for trail development in the upcoming year and progress.
It will be held at the Northfield Firehall at 7pm.
