Warden Taylor Reoffering In Municipality Of Shelburne

The current warden of the Municipality of Shelburne is reoffering for council this fall.

Roger Taylor will run in District 7, a seat he has held since 2008.

He says he still has lots of energy to do the job.

“I’ve only really gained enough experience now to truly be effective.”

Taylor says he has work left to do including improving economic development.

He believes there are opportunities for grape growing and oyster farming in the municipality.

Taylor spent 35 years in the RCMP before getting involved in municipal politics.

He says he enjoys helping people and wants to see the community grow.

“I care about my community and the motivation for myself and a lot of police officers is to help people and I still have that desire.”

Taylor adds, he’s hoping to be on council to celebrate progress on a new medical clinic.

He says council is also working to get a new municipal administration built.
