About a week ago now, WestJet shared some sad news. They announced that starting Nov 2nd they will be indefinitely suspending operations to Moncton, Fredericton, Sydney, Charlottetown and Quebec City while reducing service to Halifax and St. John’s.
That left people with a lot of questions.
When flights started getting canceled due to Covid-19, WestJet and Swoop were offering vouchers to fly at another time. Kind of hard to do, if there are no flights.
So if you’ve been trying to get a refund on your trip that was canceled because of Covid. I have some good news. WestJet has just announced they are going to be contacting people to give back a refund “in their original form of payment”.
This will also start Nov 2nd, and it will be happening in chronological order.
They say that they’re the first big airline in Canada to voluntarily give people back their money after The Covid-19 restrictions.
