Ferry routes between Yarmouth and Maine and Saint John and Digby should be part of an international water highway. Thats the vision of the Mayor of Yarmouth as Pam Mood looks back at the past summer sailing season. Pam Mood says it would provide a vital link for business to the rest of the country and continent and a package for American and Canadian tourists. She says: “How exciting is it to come over on the beautiful NovaStar and enjoy the province and be able to go to another province and then head back up into Maine by another ferry.” The Mayor says the new NovaStar ferry to Maine and a proposed new vessel for the Saint John-Digby route should be marketted on both sides of the border aimed at business and travellers.
