Camping in the woods, cooking over a fire, and learning about teamwork.
Pathfinder Rachel Kini knows has been learning these skills for the last seven years.
Her group will be celebrating the 109th year of the scouting movement by going winter camping this Saturday.
“It’s fun,” she says, “You just have the right gear and bring a lot of blankets to keep warm at night.”
Local scouts will also be celebrating.
You can see them race hand made ‘Kub Kars’ at the Bridgewater mall this weekend.
Scout-Guide week is being marked by the more than 100,000 members nation wide.
