Bridgewater Gets Federal Funding For Riverbank Project

The Town of Bridgewater is getting a huge investment to help fund it’s Take Back the Riverbank project.

The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency is providing more than 1.4-million dollars.

Mayor Dave Walker says this is the final piece of funding they’ve been waiting on.

“To insure the success of the project it was important that all three levels of government play the appropriate roll,” he says. “So, we’re delighted to now have our funding in place.”

Walker says the total cost of the project is estimated to be around 5-million dollars.

Work is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
