A 29 year-old man from Queens County is in custody after an attempted robbery at Guardian Pharmacy in Bridgewater.
Acting Police Chief Scott Feener says they responded to a “panic alarm” shortly after 10 a.m at the store in the Medical Arts Building on Glen Allan Drive.
He says the suspect fled on foot into woods behind the building.
“PSD Davis and other members were able to track this male and he was located a few blocks away in a vehicle on Aberdeen Road.”
Feener says it is still early in the investigation and couldn’t comment on when the suspect might appear in court.
He says pharmacy staff handled themselves professionally and provided information that led to a quick and successful conclusion.
