Bridgewater’s Tia Wamboldt won a silver medal Thursday at the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.
Wamboldt and her partner Jordyn Henderson of Truro finished in second place in the Female Trampoline Synchro.
According to Communications Manager for Team Nova Scotia, Andrew Preeper, the duo only ever practiced their silver medal routine when they got to Red Deer.
The 21 year-old Wamboldt joins Hebbville’s Vincent d’Entremont as local medal winners at the games so far.
Figure skater Jessica Cranton of Annapolis Royal also won a silver medal yesterday to bring Nova Scotia’s total medal haul to eight, doubling their previous winter games total of four in 2015.
