The Health Services Foundation of the South Shore is bringing out the buckets.
With less than a month to go until this year’s radiothon, the foundation is trying a new way to give.
Volunteers will be on site February 3 at Lunenburg County hot spots to accept donations of any size in their ”Bucket Brigade.”
Development Officer, Alison Clements, says the goal is to raise $175,000.
“That’s not all going to be raised in one day. It’s about these little fundraisers that are going to build up to our big day, which is four weeks away on February 14.
People can start a bucket brigade now at their office or workplace if they can’t be involved on February 3.
It will wrap up that night at the South Shore Lumberjacks hockey game.
Clements hopes the bucket brigade, along with the Radiothon will help the Foundation raise enough money to buy essential surgical equipment for the operating room at South Shore Regional Hospital.
