Chester’s Stevens Vying For Second Straight National Firefighter Curling Championship

CHESTER – Chester’s Chad Stevens is just two wins away from a second straight Canadian Firefighters Curling title.

The Nova Scotia champs scored two in the tenth end to edge Alberta 6-5 yesterday and set up a rematch against Aaron Bartling of Edmonton in the 1-2 Page playoff game.

Both rinks finished round robin action with 7-2 records.

Today’s winner will advance through to the championship game while the loser will drop into the semi final.

BC, Southern Ontario, and Saskatchewan are the other teams still alive.

The Mississauga, Ontario event wraps up tomorrow.
