Lunenburg is exploring the idea of adding a boat launch at the end of Broad Street.
The town owns a pocket of land which would provide direct access to the front harbour.
However, Mayor Rachel Bailey says council has a few important questions needing answers first.
“Are we able to put a boat launch in that location given the low tide, space and that kind of thing? And if so, what size boat could we accommodate?”
The town is paying $2,000 for a land survey.
Bailey is encouraging public feedback on the idea and says it’s still in the preliminary stage.
