The rivalry between the Lumberjacks and Mariners just got a little more intense.
Former South Shore Junior ‘A’ Lumberjacks head coach Laurie Barron has been named the new head coach and general manager of Yarmouth.
Barron has a long history with the Mariners organization and his son Matt is one of the club’s budding, young stars.
Barron came to Bridgewater last year but was replaced behind the bench late in the season.
The Lumberjacks are still on the hunt for a new bench boss.
