There is a new four-legged sheriff in Bridgewater.
New police dog, Davis, will have a meet and greet session with students at Bridgewater Elementary school on Wednesday.
Constable Paul Rogers says the detachment is happy to welcome Davis.
“The dog is an addition to the police service. He is a police member and he is going to be serving the community with law enforcement.”
Grade three students won a contest to name the K9 after Corporal Paul Davis.
He died while serving in Afghanistan 10 years ago.
Rogers says he looks forward to having Davis play a role in the community.
