The problems facing communities on the South Shore can’t be solved by individuals working on their own.
That’s why a group in Lunenburg County invited the public to talk about practical solutions.
Now Lunenburg County Coordinator, Tim Merry, says community engagement is the only way to see real change.
“If we get multiple different perspective ideas connected with what we’re doing,” he says, “it massively improves our ability to act in a way that meets people’s needs.”
Around 75 people discussed supporting those who live here and attracting new people.
Smaller groups will meet in the next few weeks to work on specific projects presented at last night’s meeting.
