Province To See Highway Twinning Study Soon.

The long awaited feasibility study on highway twinning should be out in the next few weeks.

Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, Geoff MacLellan says the last details are being hammered out before the government releases the report on social media.

“We just want to give Nova Scotians all the information when we go out there so there’s not any confusion or lack of clarity on what the information means.”

MacLellan says the government wants the public’s input into whether or not to proceed with the twinning and how to pay for it.

“The big question which is the financial modeling. What’s the toll going to look like? Should those projects proceed?”

Several short-term safety measures are already in place on the 103 including center line rumble strips, clearing the brush, and electronic speed signage.
