United Way Looking For Kids In Need Of A Bike

More kids are needed to acquire bikes from the United Way of Lunenburg County.

The group’s Bike For Kids program still has 15 refurbished bikes available for childen three-to-six years old.

Coordinator Michael Graves says they have to be picked up by Thursday.

“And we want to make sure all the bikes are allocated before the pickup date so at the end of the year we don’t want any bikes left over, we want them in the hands of kids.”

The bikes are for needy families and there is a qualification process.

People who are interested should contact the Parks and Rec Departments in Bridgewater, or the Municipalities of Chester or Lunenburg.

They can also contact the Better Together Family Resource Centre in Bridgewater.
