A proposed pool project in Queens will head back to the table for discussions.
Region of Queens Mayor Christopher Clarke says a report suggests operational costs for a domed pool are higher than originally anticipated.
An annex building is also needed for things like equipment and washrooms.
Clarke says a recommendation to decline the project was considered but the two sides will continue talking.
“There is some fundamental issues about putting a dome over a pool, some fundamental issues on the operating cost that have got to be agreed before you move ahead.”
Clarke says there is no point in developing a project unless people can agree what it contains.
