South Shore Braces For Snow, Ice

Shubenacadie Sam may have predicted an early spring but that isn’t stopping the winter weather.

Environment Canada says the South Shore can expect to see snow this afternoon before it spreads to the remainder of the province overnight tonight.

The weather agency has issued a special weather statement saying up to 10 centimeters is forecasted to fall before changing to ice pellets and then to freezing rain on Wednesday.

The freezing rain is expected to last between two and three hours in some areas before tapering to showers.
