The accused killer of Linnea Veinotte has been charged with non-capital murder in Grenada.
Constable Pauline Williams says 26 year-old Akim Frank appeared in court this morning and remains in custody.
She says someone convicted of non-capital murder faces punishment of life in prison.
Veinotte’s body was found last Friday afternoon in St. George after Frank turned himself into police.
Veinotte, along with her husband Matt and two children had been living on the island for a few months.
Frank is due back in court December 30.
A funeral will be held next Sunday in Lunenburg.
