Western Regional Enterprise Network Getting The Word Out About The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program

The Immigration Lead for the Western Regional Enterprise Network says a business-led program to hire immigrant workers is a golden opportunity.

Benefits of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot include faster processing of immigrants, skipping the labour market impact assessment and international graduates being hired right out of school.

The program also helps match businesses with intermediate and high skilled workers

Gino Thibeault says our population numbers show that we need the people.

“We need the influx of people and having people from other countries brings in other cultures, brings in different views on looking at things and helps us grow as a community.”

So far, 212 endorsement applications have been approved by the province.

The worker is also able to bring their immediate family to the country.

Thibeault has been presenting to local councils to help get the word out to businesses about the program.
