A dozen teenagers were injured when a backyard deck on a house in Yarmouth County collapsed.
It happened yesterday afternoon (Friday) in the community of Brazil Lake.
As many as 40 people had gathered on the deck for a party when it gave way and crashed 4 meters to the ground.
Those hurt, who are 17 and 18 years of age, were transported to hospitals in Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby for treatment of injuries ranging from broken bones to cuts and bruises.
RCMP in Yarmouth say the injured teens will be OK and an investigation is underway to determine why the deck collapsed.
