Yarmouth Man Faces Charges In Connection To Alleged Liquor Store Robbery

A 32-year-old Yarmouth man is facing multiple charges in connection with an alleged robbery at the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation in Yarmouth earlier this week.

On Tuesday evening police say a man entered the store, left without paying for a case of beer, then pulled a knife and lunged at an NSLC employee who was not injured.

Nicholas Stewart Kenney is charged with 18 counts including Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and 4 charges each of Assaulting a Peace Officer, Uttering Death Threats and Breach of Probation.

He is also charged with Obstruction and Failing to Comply with Conditions.

Kenney appeared in court in Yarmouth yesterday and has been remanded to custody

He returns to Yarmouth Provincial Court on January 7, 2019.
